A Robotics Roadmap for Australia 2025

Over the past year we have been proud to be a member of Robotics Australia Group, the body representing robotics, automation and innovation across Australia. This year, you can find us in the Integrators chapter of A Robotics Roadmap for Australia 2025.

What the Robotics Roadmap is

A Robotics Roadmap for Australia is the national reference document for the country’s robotics industry, published by Robotics Australia Group. It sets out where robotics and automation capability sits today, what is holding it back, and where the sector expects to be in five years.

The roadmap is published every two years. The 2025 edition covers manufacturing, agriculture, defence, resources, services and logistics, construction and infrastructure, healthcare and wellness, transport, drones, space, skills and education, and explores dozens of case studies drawn from across Australian industry.

It is an extensive and genuinely useful picture of what Australian industry has to offer, both locally and on the global stage.

Our role in the Integrators chapter

Applied Robotics sponsored the Integrators chapter of the 2025 edition. It is the first time the roadmap has carried a chapter dedicated to systems integrators, which Robotics Australia Group added in recognition of the role integrators play in improving industry efficiency.

"As the robotics industry in Australia continues to grow, the need for integrators is expected to grow accordingly."

A Robotics Roadmap for Australia 2025, Integrators chapter

The chapter was chaired by Robotics Australia Group board member Christian Ruberg, and shaped by an industry workshop held in June 2024. We were proud to contribute our insight and experience alongside key industry voices including Christian Ruberg and Nicci Rossouw of Robotics Australia Group, Dr Mary McGeoch of Rio Tinto, Zac Nichol of Zero Cubic and Nathan Karpagam of VEPRM.

Applied Robotics is also cited within the chapter as an example of the Australian companies now deploying robots across material handling, palletising, pick and place, and logistics applications.
