Empowering Australian Manufacturers
Learn how we have been committed to redefining automation possibilities since our establishment in 1986.
Led by Dr. Paul Wong, our team have consistently tackled the most complex automation challenges faced by Australian industry.
1986
Our journey began with a revolutionary solution designed for Fisher & Paykel to shear sheep in 1986.
Dr. Paul Wong, then R&D Manager for the Australian Wool Corporation, collaborated with Australian universities and three CSIRO divisions to create the world’s first sheep shearing robot.
1995
In 1995 we developed the world’s fastest carpet-tile handling solution for Miliken & Co’s expansive, 25-acre plant in Georgia.
Capable of processing four tiles per second, this system remains unparalleled in speed nearly 30 years later.
We are dedicated to empowering Australian businesses by maximising competitive edge through innovative solutions.
2010
In a custom automation solution featuring 52 robots, 66 vision systems, and 360 servo axes, we engineered the world’s fastest assorted biscuit packaging system for Arnott’s- Australia’s favourite biscuit brand.
At the time of its installation, it was the largest food and beverage automation project in the world and remains the largest in the southern hemisphere, packing 106 biscuits per second.
2019
By 2019, Applied Robotics was an internationally recognised automation solutions provider and integrator. During the pandemic, logistics challenges presented the need for businesses to move their manufacturing back onshore. Our ability to rapidly deliver innovative automation solutions helped Australian businesses to adapt and thrive as globally competitive manufacturers.
