Automation Training & Education

Our vertically integrated approach to automation — from concept to commissioning — enables us to gain a deep understanding of your systems and to build practical, targeted and immediately applicable training for your organisation.

Drawing on real-world insights from commissioning projects across industries, our engineers inform every program. Professional course developers then translate that expertise into structured, practical learning experiences that prepare learners to support and sustain systems long after they go live.

Flexible training, certified results

We offer flexible, credentialed learning pathways from introductory to advanced levels, including options such as classroom training, e-learning and hands-on workshops.

Nationally and globally recognised credentials

We partner with registered training organisations to develop programs tailored to your team — from micro-credentials to Certificate IV — and to help you build formal qualifications to complement practical skills.

Confident operation and maintenance

Hands-on training is delivered to build capability in safe operation, troubleshooting, changeovers and servicing — ideal for roles ranging from operator to maintenance level.

Hands-on robotic systems expertise

Our onsite training for ABB and KUKA robots covers pendant-based programming, advanced motion control, safety zones and vision system integration. Mobile robotics training includes AGVs and AMRs, navigation, mapping, fleet management and software platforms. Cobotics training focuses on the safe and efficient use of collaborative robot systems, including hand-guided programming, workspace sharing and integration with vision and safety systems.

System-specific, end-to-end technical training

Training is customised for your installed equipment — incorporating mechanical, electrical and control systems from the operator to the engineering level. We also deliver in-depth training on device-level IO, PLCs, SCADA and MES integration in complex environments.

Training Cells Designed for Tertiary Education

We design custom training cells designed to meet the Performance Evidence criteria of Australian and international certifications. These cells are packaged with e-learning content that reinforces core concepts and supports flexible, self-paced learning.

Remote and regional training

We train teams in some of Australia’s most remote and operationally constrained environments, including mining operations, regional food manufacturing plants and high-throughput logistics hubs. We design our programs to accommodate your operational demands — including shift patterns, site conditions and resource availability. For example, we recently developed a robotic training course for BHP specifically designed for remote deployment in active mining environments.

E-learning content is leveraged in conjunction with digital twin technologies — including Emulate3D by Rockwell — to provide learners with hands-on experience in industrial recovery scenarios using PLCs and robotics without impacting line output.

Digital learning: SCORM & HTML packages

We develop SCORM-compliant and HTML-based content ready for integration with any Learning Management System (LMS), facilitating scalable delivery across enterprise teams and institutional programs. Our structured e-learning covers topics including:

  • Design for automation
  • Vision systems and inspection technologies
  • Industrial robotics (including ABB, KUKA and Universal)
  • Control systems and architecture – from IO wiring and PLC programming to SCADA and MES data integration
  • Automation in logistics and packaging systems.

The content is tailored for new operators, technical maintenance teams or engineering students and includes interactive diagrams, animations and embedded quizzes to support retention.

Educational partnerships with real-world outcomes

We partner with leading institutions to deliver practical, up-to-date automation training in academic settings. Our education team collaborates with instructors to develop industry-aligned modules from Certificate II through to Bachelor’s programs, ensuring students graduate with hands-on skills and experience with real-world equipment. For example, we collaborated with TAFE Queensland and Rockwell Automation to create the Smart Factory Lab — an advanced, hands-on training environment that gives students real-world experience with cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies.

In addition to our tertiary education partnerships, we also support industry training initiatives across Australia. We supply training hardware, develop course content and deliver in-person or remote modules to strengthen engineering and manufacturing education—whether in universities or on remote mining sites, such as our recent BHP robotics training program.

We are industry agnostic and provide end-to-end Special Purpose Machines to support a range of manufacturing disciplines pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, food & beverage, FMCG, mining, building products, waste & recycling, renewables and intralogistics.

Arnott’s automated inspection takes the biscuit

We worked with Arnott’s to deliver a high-speed robotic QA system for biscuit packaging, operating at up to 130 packs per minute. Delta robots inspect and fill biscuit cavities precisely, using 2D vision for defect detection and conveyor tracking. Designed for continuous operation and easy cleaning, the system improves product quality, boosts output and reduces manual handling.
